When the official Mediabase country airplay chart goes live Sunday evening, it will list Lady Antebellum’s “Bartender” in the number one position.
The Lady A tune surges two spots to claim the #1 position this week. Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane,” which reigned for two weeks, slips all the way to #6.
“Bartender” received 7,758 spins and 56.81 million audience impressions between August 24 and August 30. While those numbers might be adjusted slightly in the Sunday evening update, they will not create a different pecking order. Kenny Chesney’s “American Kids,” the #2 song, was distantly behind with 7,325 spins and 53.15 million impressions.
Other top five songs include Dustin Lynch’s “Where it’s At” (#3), Tim McGraw’s “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s (featuring Faith Hill)” (#4) and Cole Swindell’s “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” (#5).
The week’s greatest airplay is Luke Bryan’s “Roller Coaster,” which surges to #7 on the strength of 6,092 country radio spins. That count bests last week’s by 1,019.
Other big spin gainers include Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt” (#8, +774), Lynch’s “Where it’s At” (#3, +530), Swindell’s “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” (#5, +502) and Blake Shelton’s “Neon Light” (#23, +488).
