Update: It might not have a large audience, but it clearly has a loyal one.
Despite facing the series finale of “How I Met Your Mother,” Monday’s “Star-Crossed” actually enjoyed a week-to-week gain in the adults 18-49 demographic. It posted a 0.4 with 1.04 million viewers.
The show was not, however, completely immune to the “Mother” effect. As the “HIMYM” audience increased for the final half-hour of the finale, the “Star-Crossed” audience slipped.
“The Tomorrow People” also enjoyed an uptick from last week’s series low 0.3. It posted a 0.5 with 1.10 million.

The ratings seesaw continues for The CW’s new Monday night entry “Star-Crossed.”
After slipping to a 0.8 overnight household rating for last week’s broadcast (and a series low in total viewers), the freshman drama perked back up to a 0.9 this week. Whether that gain extends to the adults 18-49 and viewership numbers remains to be seen, but the improved overnight number does suggest “Star-Crossed” did not completely crumble against CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” series finale.
“The Tomorrow People,” which aired out of “Star-Crossed,” enjoyed the same improvement to a 0.9 overnight household rating. Like its lead-in, it also endured a series low viewership average last week.
