Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran To Make “Saturday Night Live” Debuts

One was recently crowned an artist to watch by Headline Planet. One was nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony.

By mid-April, both English singer-songwriters will have made their “Saturday Night Live” debuts.

NBC confirmed Thursday that Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran are among the names confirmed for upcoming “SNL” episodes.

Smith, who is currently charting as a featured artist on Naughty Boy’s “La La La” and Disclosure’s “Latch,” will perform on the March 29 edition. Louis CK had previously been announced as host.

Sheeran will perform on the April 12 edition. Seth Rogen, who will be promoting the upcoming film “Neighbors,” will make his third appearance as host.

Debuting host Anna Kendrick and debuting musical guest (as a solo artist) Pharrell will appear on the April 5 edition.
