“Bates Motel” Returns to Solid Ratings, Sets Viewership High

A&E’s “Bates Motel” did not return to television as a mega hit, but it managed to do so without losing any ground.

It, in fact, improved slightly over both the series premiere and season one finale.

Monday’s second season premiere posted a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 3.07 million viewers. Even with the season one premiere in the adults 18-49 demographic, the viewership was up slightly to a series high.

Both numbers were up from those of the season one finale, which scored a 1.2 rating with 2.70 million viewers.

“Those Who Kill,” which followed “Bates,” disappointed with a 0.5 rating and 1.44 million viewers.
