In advancing to the final three on “American Idol,” Angie Miller, Kree Harison and Candice Glover each proved they had passionate support from their fanbases.
But based on social chatter and media coverage, it sure seemed that Miller and Harrison had greater support, which put immense pressure on Glover to deliver Wednesday night. It would take a killer performance for Glover to advance to the final two.
In reacting with one of the most excessive standing ovations they have ever offered–one that seemed to matter on a show that seems to provide at least two standing ovation every week–the judges certainly declared that Glover’s “Somewhere” was that killer performance.
And Thursday night, America proved that it shared their opinion: the voters pushed Candice Glover into the final two.
Glover’s advance meant that either Kree Harrison or Angie Miller, both of whom have been frontrunners since the twelfth “Idol” competition went live, would be heading home.
That unlucky someone was Miller, who waved goodbye just a week short of the “American Idol” finals.
