Charity work has been a staple of John Cena’s public persona, and no project garners the WWE Superstar more esteem than his work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Cena, who actively participates in Make-a-Wish projects throughout the year, put the charity’s work at the forefront of Monday’s RAW.
In conjunction with World Wish Day, Cena emceed a segment that put three Wish Kids in the spotlight of the WWE Universe.
Cena, who brought all three children onto the entrance ramp, gave each the opportunity to reveal his ring name, a key step in becoming an honorary WWE Superstar. Cena then the crowd in showering thunderous applause on the honorary additions to WWE’s roster.
According to F4WOnline.com, the segment resonated significantly with the WWE lockerroom. As the report puts it, “backstage, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.”
