WWE Claims Attendance Record for WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium

Whether the media will refute its accuracy remains to be seen, but WWE officially announced a record-setting crowd at WrestleMania 29.

Fifteen minutes into the show’s final hour, WWE announcer Justin Roberts claimed that a crowd of 80,676 was in attendance at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

According to a later WWE press release, that crowd contributed to a $12.3 million live gate at MetLife Stadium, which makes WrestleMania the highest-grossing entertainment event in the venue’s history.
