Going against the Olympics is no cakewalk for any television property, and WWE RAW felt the wrath of NBC’s behemoth in the ratings Monday.
After delivering its best numbers since 2009 for the RAW 1000 special, WWE’s Monday night property fell dramatically this week, averaging just a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating for the three hour telecast. That marks a decline of more than 30% from last week’s number.
Viewership, meanwhile, clocked in at about 4.5 million, which also represents a significant drop from last week’s average of more than 6 million.
As with last week’s performance, viewership actually peaked in the 9PM hour (4.72 million vs. 4.70 at 10PM), although the adults 18-49 rating was identical for 9 and 10PM. The 8PM segment opened the night with a 1.4 demo rating and 4.06 million viewers.
