WWE announced on its official website Friday that Maryse has been given best wishes in her future endeavors.
According to F4WOnline.com, the release is believed to be mutual, “as much her wanting out as them targeting her for a cut.” Photos of Maryse had been emerging on celebrity gossip sites recently, with her getting notice moreso as a “hot chick” than a WWE Diva, although it is unclear she will be able to parlay that fame into serious non-wrestling gigs.
Maryse entered the business as part of the third edition of the RAW Diva Search, within which she became an internal favorite for her look and legitimate interest in wrestling. She did not, however, click with fans and ended up being the second female voted out of the competition.
WWE remained interested, however, and pushed her through its developmental territory, where she eventually blossomed into a full-time, popular WWE Diva.
She had been absent from television for a while, but recent reports said she was due for an imminent return.
