ABC got aggressive with its pickups Friday, confirming numerous comedy and drama additions to its roster to coincide with cancellations of nearly all its bubble series.
On the comedy side, ABC is predictably welcoming “Apartment 23,” “Last Man Standing” (formerly the untitled Tim Allen project), “Work It,” “Suburgatory” and “Man Up” into the mix next year.
Drama pickups include “Charlie’s Angels,” “Pan Am,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Good Christian Belles” (formerly “Good Christian Bitches”), “Revenge,” “Scandal” and “The River.”
But for as big as that new lineup is, it still could not include several high-profile projects. Pilots not likely to see the light of day at ABC are “Georgetown,” “Poe,” “Grace,” “Hallelujah,” “Identity,” “Partners,” “Lost and Found,” “Other People’s Kids,” “Bad Mom” and “My Freakin’ Family.”
