“Mad Love,” CBS’ newest relationship comedy with a heart, will receive a lead-in from similarly-skewing “How I Met Your Mother” when it launches this February, the Eye confirmed in a press release this week.
Set to launch February 21, the series about a foursome of New Yorkers (Sarah Chalke, Jason Biggs, Judy Greer and Tyler Labine), “two of whom are falling in love while the other two despise each other,” will land on Mondays at 8:30PM EST behind “Mother,” which has been as hot as ever in its sixth season.
The move will send current 8:30PM occupant “Rules of Engagement” to the same time on Thursdays beginning February 24, where it will replace “$#*! My Dad Says.” At that point, “Dad,” which is currently receiving lead-in support from flagship “The Big Bang Theory,” will have already completed its first season episodic order.
New drama “Blue Bloods,” which has been a solid performer on Fridays, will receive four weeks of Wednesday 10PM sampling beginning January 19. It is slated to return to Fridays on February 11, at which point “Criminal Minds” spin-off “Suspect Behavior” will takeover the Wednesday slot.
“The Defenders,” the current Wednesday at 10 occupant, will move to Fridays at 8PM beginning February 4. Its first season run will end in March, paving the way for new series “Chaos” to start in the slot on April 1.
