The critically-panned first week of “American Idol” semifinals is over, and as the competition moves forward, it will do with four hopefuls no longer in the competition.
Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz and Tyler Grady were eliminated from contention Thursday, leaving only twenty remaining in the battle.
Another four–two males and two females–from this group of twenty semifinalists will be dropped come next Thursday; prior to that results show, the remaining ten females (Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, Michelle Delamor, Katelyn Epperly, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Lilly Scott, Katie Stevens and Haeley Vaughn) and remaining ten males (Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia, Todrick Hall, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Alex Lambert, Michael Lynche, John Park, Jermaine Sellers and Tim Urban) will get another chance to perform.
