— WWE spokesperson Robert Zimmerman disputed reports that Linda McMahon’s Senate Campaign factored into the Bragging Rights decision to clean John Cena’s cut, noting the choice was more deeply rooted in the company’s new blood-free, PG broadcasting approach.
“WWE is PG and as part of being PG, we try to show as little or no blood as possible,” Zimmerman told Courant.com.
He also attributed the decision to the obvious–Cena was cut and benefited from a clean-up from the trainers.
