As networks begin to make their verdicts on summer series, decisions on HBO’s “True Blood,” “Hung” and “Entourage” have been anxiously awaited by fans. “True Blood” has become a legitimate hit for HBO, while “Entourage,” despite generating lukewarm reviews for the first few episodes of its sixth season, has been doing its best numbers in a while. Sandwiched between the two on Sunday nights, “Hung” also is developing a following.
The wait is over–HBO announced Thursday that all three shows will be back next year. “Entourage” moves into its seventh season, while “True Blood” and “Hung” return for their third and second, respectively.
The network has struggled to produce a hit in the “Sopranos” ballpark since that acclaimed drama left the air, but its current Sunday lineup has produced HBO’s best success in recent memory.
