Thus far, Luke Bryan’s “Kill The Lights” is three-for-three in producing country radio number ones.
Following in the footsteps of previous singles “Kick The Dust Up” and “Strip It Down,” the country superstar’s “Home Alone Tonight (featuring Karen Fairchild)” reaches #1 on the Mediabase country radio singles chart.
Up two spots from last week’s position, “Home Alone Tonight” seizes the throne from Brothers Osborne’s “Stay A Little Longer.”
Not simply the leader in Mediabase chart points, Bryan’s single also ranks as the format’s most heard song. It received a format-leading 61.515 million Mediabase-monitored audience impressions during the January 24-30 tracking week.
It was not, however, the week’s most played country song. That honor belongs to Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In A Small Town,” which received ~8,383 spins during the official tracking week (+714). “Home Alone Tonight” received ~8,332.
As it received fewer Mediabase chart points, “Break Up” nonetheless settles for #2 on the actual chart (+2).
Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” slips one place to #3, while the aforementioned “Stay A Little Longer” takes #4. Up one place, Granger Smith’s “Backroad Song” earns #5 on this week’s chart.
