Maroon 5’s new “What Lovers Do (featuring SZA)” premiered on the US iTunes store late Tuesday/early Wednesday.
By Wednesday night, it was in the upper reaches of the US iTunes sales chart.
“What Lovers Do” is #3 on the chart as of press time at 11:25PM ET. Only Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” (#1) and Logic’s “1-800-273-8255 (featuring Alessia Cara & Khalid)” (#2) hold higher positions.
“What Lovers Do” received strong first-day exposure at radio; iHeart pop and hot adult contemporary stations played it every hour.
