Showtime’s “Homeland” Renewed For Sixth Season; “The Affair” Scores Season 3

Showtime predictably renewed its Sunday dramas “Homeland” and “The Affair,” thus confirming a sixth season for the former and a third season for the latter.

In addition to garnering critical acclaim and buzz, the two are solid ratings performers.

This past Sunday’s “Homeland” drew a 0.63 adults 18-49 rating and 1.740 million total, live+same-day viewers. “The Affair” followed with a 0.25 rating and an 833,000 viewership total.

“Homeland” is the fall season’s top premium cable series.
