Selena Gomez’ “Good For You” Certified Platinum in the United States

Selena Gomez’ “Good For You (featuring A$AP Rocky)” has been officially certified platinum in the United States.

The certification was officially issued on Monday, August 24. That was the same day on which Gomez learned that the song reached a #6 peak on the Billboard Hot 100. In doing so, it tied the career high mark she previously achieved with singles “Come & Get It” and “The Heart Wants What it Wants.”

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, a platinum certification confirms a US unit total in excess of 1 million. One unit is equal to one paid download or one hundred streams.

Based on Nielsen Music data, the song’s US sales count is approaching 800,000.

“Good For You” also received a retroactive gold certification.
