Fall Out Boy’s “American Beauty/American Psycho” Projected for 150K+ Album Sales

While pre-release forecasts never represent exact science, they do take into account buzz, momentum and confirmed pre-orders.

Based on that information, industry sources are projecting that Fall Out Boy’s “American Beauty/American Psycho,” will move more than 150,000 copies in its first week of release.

Hits Daily Double first reported the forecast Monday evening.

If the first-week sales total for the album, which arrives on January 20, indeed falls in the ballpark of 150,000 (let alone in excess of 150,000), it would be enough to secure “American Beauty/American Psycho” a number one bow on the weekly album sales chart.

Predecessor “Save Rock in Roll,” which launched in April 2013 and represented the band’s first album in more than four years, moved 154,000 inaugural frame copies.
