Ratings Update: FOX’s “Gotham” Falls Slightly, “Sleepy Hollow” Rises

Update: Monday’s edition of “Gotham” delivered a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating with 6.09 million viewers. The performance came in slightly shy of last week’s showing, which included a 2.4 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and a viewership average of 6.39 million.

9PM drama “Sleepy Hollow” followed with a 1.8 and 5.02 million. While it is not the hit it was during season one, “Sleepy Hollow” has been performing rather consistently for FOX this year.

Already confirmed for a full season–and FOX’s only remotely successful 2014 launch–“Gotham” no longer needs to stress over the weekly ratings report.

But both it and the FOX network at large are still guided by business interest, and that means performance remains key to the narrative. And in the case of Monday’s performance, the story is a negative one.

Monday’s episode, the show’s fifth broadcast to date, drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating with 5.99 million viewers. That represented a decline from the following week’s 2.4 adults 18-49 rating with 6.39 million viewers.

FOX followed “Gotham” with an improved “Sleepy Hollow” (1.8 adults 18-49 rating, 5.00 million).
