First Look: Big Data, Joywave Perform on “Late Night with Seth Meyers”

The number two alternative song in the country (based on airplay; it is number one for audience) is set to take over the late night scene.

Big Data and Joywave deliver their collaboration “Dangerous” on the Wednesday night edition of NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” The televised performance represents another dose of exposure for the two acts, which are enjoying breakthrough years on the alternative radio format.

In an ideal world, Wednesday night’s exposure will provide the song with additional juice as it attempts to dethrone Bleachers’ “I Wanna Get Better” from the number one spot at alternative radio. But even if the end result is not quite so significant, the performance will surely put “Dangerous” on the radar for a new group of fans.

Joywave followed up the “Dangerous” performance with a rendition of its own “Tongues.”

Taped Wednesday evening and set to air on the 12:35AM “Late Night” broadcast, the performance followed host Seth Meyers’ interviews with Chris Pratt and Laverne Cox.

NBC’s first look photos from the taping follow. Videos of the performances also follow.
