“I Wanna Marry ‘Harry'” Ratings Sink in Week Two

Update: The second episode of FOX’s “I Wanna Marry ‘Harry'” drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with just 1.14 million viewers.

Its “Riot!” lead-in delivered a 0.6 rating, which actually marked a slight improvement from its May 13 premiere. It averaged 1.36 million viewers.

Last week’s “American Idol” performance finale did not draw big ratings, but it offered considerably stronger lead-in support than FOX’s “Riot!”

And if last Tuesday’s premiere edition of “I Wanna Marry ‘Harry'” could not find an audience with help from the former, what chance did it have of finding one with support from the latter?

None, in fact. After bombing with a mere 1.5 overnight household rating last week (TVMI, which reported the 1.5, is now claiming the episode did a 1.6), “Harry” settled for a disastrous 1.0 this week.

Last week’s 1.5 household rating translated into a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.91 million viewers. Down by more than 30% in the overnights, this week’s episode is likely looking at a scary numbers in those two columns.

“Riot,” which led into the Joe Millionaire-esque reality series, delivered an abysmal 1.2 overnight household rating. Interestingly, that number was actually above the 1.1 the show posted for its post-“Glee” premiere on 5/13.
