Lange Wins Emmy for “American Horror Story,” Berenger Takes One for “Hatfields”

It has been called “good,” “bad,” “so bad it’s good,” “creepy” and every adjective imaginable. After tonight, “American Horror Story” can also be called an Emmy winner.

Jessica Lange, one of the longest favorites in the Emmys this year, won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a movie or miniseries for her work on the show, which was submitted as a miniseries due to its “anthology” format. The next season, which premieres next month, will feature an entirely-different plot with entirely-different characters.

“AHS” was not as lucky in the supporting actor race, however. Tom Berenger took that one for his work in “Hatfields & McCoys.”
