Under the previous notion that it would be holding its annual “draft” this summer, WWE had developed tentative plans for some key roster shakeups. But with the draft rushed to April to accommodate unexpected changes like the loss of Edge on SmackDown!, it is unclear that any of those plans remain in the cards.
Alberto del Rio, for instance, was expected to move to RAW for a summer feud with John Cena, but it is not a certainty WWE will stick with that idea going forward.
What is known, according to F4WOnline.com, is that WWE is once again adhering to its policy of keeping the talent in the dark on the roster shakeups. All talent (RAW and SmackDown!) is scheduled to be present for Monday’s RAW, while the near-entirety of the RAW brand was told it needs to keep Tuesday open in case they now have to start working the weekly SmackDown! show.
Interesting, therefore, was a WWE.com web change that resulted in Beth Phoenix’s SmackDown! Superstar profile briefly being moved over to the RAW side. That “accident” strongly indicated that Phoenix would be moved over to RAW (a roster move that definitely makes sense), but the going word is that the web team likely would not have (and still does not) know the full extent of roster changes just yet.
