Sara Bareilles’ “Kaleidoscope Heart” Album Sales Top Anberlin, Stone Sour

The subject of her lead single might not be the “king of anything,” but there is a possibility Sara Bareilles will emerge as the queen of next week’s album sales chart.

According to forecasts based on one day sales figures from Hits Daily Double, Bareilles’ new album “Kaleidoscope Heart” is pacing for 80-90,000 first week units. Such a total would put the album head-to-head with the persistently strong “Recovery” from Eminem.

Behind Bareilles among new releases is Stone Sour, which will likely garner 40-45,000 for “Audio Secrecy,” a steep decline from 2006’s “Come What(ever) May.” Anberlin’s “Dark is the Way, Light is a Place” looks good for about 35-40,000, a figure on pace with previous release “New Surrender.” Given the breakout success Anberlin experienced with that album’s “Feel Good Drag,” the forecasted opening for “Dark is the Way” is a bit of a letdown.

Interpol’s latest, a self-titled release, should open to the tune of 30-35,000.
