Justin Bieber’s “Down To Earth” Officially Certified Gold in the US

The music industry is rightly fixated on Justin Bieber’s new single “What Do You Mean?,” which last week became his first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

The new single is not, however, the only Bieber song worthy of headlines.

On September 15, 2015, his “Down To Earth” officially received a gold certification in the United States.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the gold certification confirms a US unit total of 500,000. One unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

“Down To Earth,” which reached #79 on the Hot 100, appeared on Bieber’s 2009 “My World.”
