Maroon 5 & Kendrick Lamar’s “Don’t Wanna Know” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know (featuring Kendrick Lamar)” made its US iTunes debut late on the night of October 11.

By the morning of October 14, it was #1 on the all-genre single sales chart.

To earn #1, “Don’t Wanna Know” moved ahead of The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey).”

While “Closer” has generally led the chart since the beginning of August, some songs — including Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” and Niall’s “This Town” — were able to temporarily seize the throne.

“Don’t Wanna Know” just seized the throne. Will it be able to keep the throne for a meaningful amount of time?
