Ratings: USA Network’s “Dig” Holds Fairly Steady in Week Three

It did not vault into successful territory this week, but USA Network’s “Dig” at least avoided a major decline.

Thursday’s “Dig,” which was the third installment of the aggressively promoted USA series, drew a 0.40 adults 18-49 rating with 1.43 million.

The performance was nearly on par with that of last week’s episode. The March 12 “Dig” posted a 0.42 rating with 1.45 million viewers.

While the March 5 “Dig” benefited from strong time-shifted viewing, none of the three broadcasts has performed especially well on a live+same-day basis.

Because cable networks have recently been forgiving of modest ratings, one should not yet rule “Dig” out for renewal. One can, however, safely say that the “Dig” numbers do not befit the pre-premiere hype.
