Given vast public anticipation, there was no way Katy Perry was going to completely ignore a question about her new album during Friday’s interview on “The Tonight Show.”
But as there was nothing preventing her from an exercise in coyness, Perry revealed nothing specific about her upcoming album, offering only that it would feature the down-to-earth honesty fans have come to expect from her music.
A weekend, however, can make all the difference. Perry confirmed Monday that her new album “Prism” will hit shelves on October 22.
Perry’s team relied on a golden tractor trailer to make the announcement. The truck, spotted on the streets of LA Monday, announces the album name and release date.
The most popular female on Twitter, Perry promised to re-Tweet anyone who posts a picture of the “Prism” truck.
