Louis CK Scores Writing Emmy Award for “Louie”

His show’s absence from the Outstanding Comedy Series category is considered one of the biggest snubs of the year, but Louis CK will indeed go home with a trophy for his work on “Louie.”

The writer, director and star of the FX series beat out writers from “Parks & Recreation,” “Community” and “Girls” to score the Outstanding Writing award for season two’s “Pregnant.”

In a bit that drew laughter from the crowd, CK did not film a clip talking about his nomination. He did, however, graciously accept the award for his acclaimed series.
