John Cena continued playing up his “fired” angle on Twitter this weekend, confirming that his “Mexican cousin” Juan Cena will be debuting with WWE at tonight’s house show in Salisbury, Maryland.
“CeNation. Just received western union tellagram via carrier pigieon from mexican cousin Juan,” wrote Cena. “Apparently he just got hired by wwe and would like me to watch his first match tonight in salisbury md. I got nuthin but time on my hands. Ill be there!”
With Cena fired from WWE in storyline, attention immediately turned to how WWE would script its most popular wrestler back into the mix. House show lineups were quickly changed to feature Juan Cena (rather than John) in the main-events, leading to speculation that Cena would re-emerge in storyline as his “Mexican cousin” under a mask.
Regarding Cena’s television character, the direction of his storyline remains unclear. Cena noted on his Twitter that he will be attending Monday’s RAW as an audience member (and as himself), so it is possible he will not immediately jump into the Juan Cena gimmick on broadcast.
I just hope they don’t do an “It was all a dream,” as was done, when CBS wanted to bring Bobby back into Dallas.
As if the entire Nexus/Cena gimmick wasn’t bad enough, they should have had Nexus disbanned.
That would have allowed Wade to bring the same group back, in a different stable.
To “fire” Cena will only lead to more stupidity. What are they gonna do? Have Triple H go into a greasy spoon, next year, where Cena is playing a dumb manager?
This sounds like great fun. Just like what they did to hogan when he came back as mr America. Lets just hope it’s does not confuse the American audience.

i may be a turd ball, but even i know this is all storyline. the Cena “firing” will conclude in one of three ways: 1) he pulls a Dwayne Johnson and leaves on his own terms to make movies for the rest of his life. 2) its all to suspense to build up for an epic return, possibly to help sell wrestlemania PPV. or 3) he shows up in TNA. usually when someone is “fired” its because that individual wanted a vacation or pursue something different. seems like many wrestlers use their WWE gimmicks to get into hollywood these days. WWE sucked long before the nexus and cena and GM thing. and its never going to be better. RIP wwe.
its incredible how many people still tune into the crap. Raw is probably the only show on television that can upset its audience on a weekly basis and still blow everyone else out of the water in ratings. i still watch it cause i’ve been a fan since childhood and i have a very small piece of unrealistic hope that someday SOMEDAY it will be better. the storylines have gotten weird. characters/gimmicks/personalities are ridiculous. and all they do is piss off the audience. half the wrestlers cant act or cut a promo for anything. Cena did absolutely nothing exciting or entertaining (other than the obvious on barrett) his last two months. he was treated like dirt. even if it is scripted, you dont send somebody out like that. very boring/lame way for cena to be “fired”
