New Lorde Single Apparently Impacting Pop Radio In Early March

Given that she is scheduled for major festival performances in the next few months, it seems pretty obvious that Lorde is on the verge of releasing new music.

We may now know when to expect her eagerly anticipated next single.

In a recent update, the Republic Records radio promotion team announced when some singles would be officially impacting pop radio adds.

The announcement includes a note that Lorde’s new single — with a title that is currently “confidential” — will be going for pop radio adds on March 7.

High-profile singles tend to impact pop radio the first Tuesday after their release. Assuming it is not an error, Republic’s note therefore suggests the new Lorde song should be arriving on or around March 3 (the last “new music Friday” before the March 7 impact date).

Headline Planet will share updates as they arrive.

The new Lorde single will presumably be the lead cut from her new album, the follow-up to 2013’s “Pure Heroine.”
