Alessia Cara’s “Here” Indeed Headed for #1 at Pop Radio

Alessia Cara [Paradigm]

“Here,” which late last year became Alessia Cara’s first #1 at rhythmic radio, is about to do the same at pop.

With a clear lead after the first six days of the January 17-23 tracking week, Cara’s debut single should have no trouble officially claiming #1 on the Mediabase pop airplay chart.

“Here” received 14,871 spins during the week’s first six days. Up 0.5% from last week’s count, the tally positions “Here” at #1 on the Mediabase building listing.

Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love,” which topped the past two official charts, is #2 on building. It received 14,223 spins during the tracking week’s first six days (-10.0%).

As Headline Planet previously noted, “Here” began the week at #1 on the building chart. It briefly slipped to #2 at midweek but has since jumped back in front — and comfortably so.
