Kerry Washington to Appear on “The Tonight Show”

The fall television season is about to get underway, which means ABC’s “Scandal” is about to commence its fourth season.

And if “Scandal” is about to commence its fourth season, cast members like Kerry Washington are about to establish visibility on the promotional circuit.

One certain stop on that promotional circuit? Rival network NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

NBC confirmed that Washington will appear as the lead interview guest on the September 23 edition of its iconic late night show. “The Voice” host Carson Daly will also sit with Fallon for an interview, while Julian Casablancas + The Voidz will provide music for the evening.

Washington’s “Tonight Show” will predate the “Scandal” season premiere by two nights. The flagship component of ABC’s “TGIT” lineup, “Scandal” will air at 9PM between fellow Shonda Rhimes-created series “Grey’s Anatomy” (8PM) and “How to Get Away with Murder” (10PM).

NBC’s latest “Tonight Show” listings follow:
