During the final hard-sell for tonight’s UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin 2 on Spike TV, Tito Ortiz made a bold statement regarding his fight plans for Forrest Griffin.

Responding to UFC announcer Joe Rogan’s comment about their first fight being close, Ortiz acknowledged that it was “very close” and that both have improved greatly since their 2006 encounter.

Ortiz specifically noted that Griffin has incorporated kicks into his game; the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” confirmed that he hopes Griffin tries to use kicks in tonight’s battle, because he’s going to “take him down and bash his face in.”

Ortiz and Griffin battle on pay-per-view at tonight’s UFC 106 event, which also features Josh Koscheck vs. Anthony Johnson. Headline Planet will provide live results on the main newsboard.
