This is where it gets tough.
No matter how strong or weak the construction of a coach’s team, he or she can only select three of his remaining five contestants to participate in the finals of NBC’s “The Voice.” Inevitably, that means some impressive vocal talents and early fan favorites will be forced to leave the competition.
On Tuesday’s show, that cruel reality struck Madilyn Paige and Ryan Whyte Maloney, who were eliminated from Team Blake after their respective renditions of “Clarity” and “Second Chance.”
The show’s winningest coach instead decided to throw his support behind Audra McLaughlin, Jake Worthington and Sisaundra Lewis. The three will represent Shelton’s team in the top twelve.
The trio performed “A Broken Wing,” “Anywhere With You” and “New York State of Mind” on Tuesday’s show.
Adam Levine, Shakira and Usher, Shelton’s opposing coaches, will reveal their finalists on next week’s episodes of “The Voice.”
