His touch helped give Lana Del Rey her first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
Will it be enough to give Miley Cyrus her third consecutive one?
Cedric Gervais, whose remix elevated Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” to number six on the definitive Billboard singles chart, has injected his sound into Miley Cyrus’ latest single “Adore You.”
Previewed earlier this month, the song was officially released on Miley’s Vevo channel Friday.
One of the best reviewed singles from “Bangerz,” “Adore You” is currently at a peak position of #21 on the Hot 100. Far from a flop–and far from done rising up the ladder–it has not yet exploded the way predecessors “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball” did this past summer.
The Gervais remix will not be enough to thrust “Adore You” into the illustrious realm of those smash hits, but if it is received well by fans, it could certainly help accelerate the song’s launch up the Hot 100.
