OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out,” MAGIC!’s “Rude” Surge on Hot 100

Make that eight for OneRepublic.

Top 40 hits, that is.

OneRepublic’s latest single “Love Runs Out” rockets a whopping thirty five places to reach #34 on the Billboard Hot 100. And as it continues gaining ground on iTunes and at radio, it will only soar higher on Billboard’s definitive single track chart.

A follow-up to the band’s smash “Counting Stars,” the song is the third Top 40 hit from the “Native” album and the band’s eighth such hit overall.

Other big gains on the weekly Hot 100:

— Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” vaults into the Top 40. Up eighteen spots, it reaches a new peak of #31.

— While the spotlight is deservedly shining on her number one single “Fancy” and her featured role on Ariana Grande’s number two single “Problem,” Iggy Azalea is also making waves in the lower portion of the chart. Her “Work,” which did not chart upon its initial release, quietly ascends to #63 as music buyers explore the breakout star’s earlier releases.

— MAGIC!’s red-hot breakthrough “Rude” surges to the #15 position. Like that of the OneRepublic song, its ascent is definitely not complete.
