After months of speculation regarding both names, it looks like the end is finally near for WWE stars Jeff Hardy and Lilian Garcia.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Hardy is slated to depart imminently; his final show will either be WWE Summerslam or one of the television events next week. At press time, while there were no definitive plans for his return, Hardy has been telling everyone he does expect to come back.
The feeling is that the length of Hardy’s hiatus will depend on whether his reality show gets picked up by MTV. At the earliest, he is expected back by early 2010, but if he gets a deal for the show, he will obviously miss more ring time.
Regarding Lilian Garcia, most are under the impression that she will be leaving after next week’s RAW. When the 8/24 date first broke, Garcia cautioned fans not to assume it would be her final appearance–she simply said that 8/24 was the final event for which she was confirmed. But with her contract reportedly up at the end of the month, it seems unlikely that she would work beyond 8/24 or 8/31.
