Prince Songs Claim Top 11 Spots On US iTunes Sales Chart (Updated)

Update: By 11:45PM ET, songs by the late Prince occupied the Top 11 spots on the US iTunes single sales chart:

In the wake of Prince’s passing, music fans are acquainting or reacquainting themselves with the icon’s iconic discography.

As of 3:45PM ET, the Top 5 slots on the all-genre US iTunes sales chart are occupied by Prince songs. Numerous other songs from his catalog are positioned prominently throughout the chart.

Presently atop the chart is Prince & The Revolution’s “Purple Rain.” Prince’s solely credited “Little Red Corvette” and “When Doves Cry” respectively follow at #2 and #3, while “Kiss” and “Let’s Go Crazy” — both credited to Prince & The Revolution — are #4 and #5.

Other prominently positioned Prince songs include “I Would Die 4 U” (currently #11), “1999” (#12), “Raspberry Beret” (#15), another version of “Purple Rain” (#18), “Darling Nikki” (#25) and “I Wanna Be Your Lover” (#26).

Prince was found dead in his Minnesota home Thursday. He was 57.
