India Carney Wins The Voice Instant Save; Team Blake Loses Two

Going into this week’s Top 8 round, all three Team Blake finalists remained in the competition.

Following Tuesday’s results show, only one remains.

Both Corey Kent White and Hannah Kirby were eliminated during the live results show. Team Christina’s India Carney, who joined the two Team Blake members in the bottom three, survived thanks to the Instant Save.

Host Carson Daly called the Instant Save vote the closest ever, and viewers had reason to take his word seriously. Ahead of the reveal, the live tracker showed that Corey Kent White and India Carney were separated by one percent.

That tracker, which was removed from the screen a few moments before Daly revealed the result, actually revealed a 40%-39% lead for White. Carney, perhaps due to coach Christina Aguilera’s closing remarks, pulled ahead at the very last minute.

To score instant save votes, Kirby, White and Carney performed “Radioactive” (Imagine Dragons), “Someone Like You” (Keith Urban) and “Human” (Christina Perri), respectively.

In the wake of Tuesday’s eliminations, Meghan Linsey is the only Team Blake contestant remaining in the competition. Represented by Joshua Davis, Team Adam is also down to one contestant.

Team Pharrell is represented by both Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks. India Carney and Kimberly Nichole are still alive for Team Christina.
