Ratings: A&E’s “The Returned” Sets New Viewership Low; “Bates Motel” Improves

Then a series low, last week’s “The Returned” viewership number was not a permanent bottom.

Despite leading out of an improved “Bates Motel,” this week’s edition of the freshman A&E drama attracted even fewer viewers.

Monday’s “The Returned” delivered a 0.29 adults 18-49 rating with 827,000 viewers. While the adults 18-49 rating matched that posted by the April 20 episode, the viewership average trailed that installment’s 873,000 total.

It represented a new low mark for the series, which has been a disappointing performer for the network.

— This week’s “Bates Motel” drew a 0.72 adults 18-49 rating with 1.755 million viewers. The numbers best those of last week’s broadcast, which posted a 0.68 with 1.693 million.
