Ratings: “The Affair” Viewership Hits Series High

Last week’s viewership downturn was evidently not the beginning of an undesirable trend for Showtime’s “The Affair.”

Up 16% over last week’s mark, viewership for this Sunday’s “The Affair” registered at a series high of 778,000.

The episode, meanwhile, matched last week’s 0.18 adults 18-49 rating.

Since its October 12 premiere, “The Affair” has enjoyed a week-over-week viewership uptick for all but one of its broadcasts. This week’s viewership bests that of the premiere by a whopping 53%.

Aiding the show’s cause this week was improved lead-in support from “Homeland.” While it too matched last week’s demo number (0.52), it enjoyed a 7% viewership boost (to 1.66 million).
