Update: Shortly after Headline Planet’s article went live, Taylor Swift offered definitive confirmation on the new “1989” single. It is indeed “Wildest Dreams.”
“Just wanted to let you know that the next single from 1989 will be………..Wildest Dreams,” Tweeted the superstar singer-songwriter.
A formal radio adds date will be announced shortly.

Earlier this summer, Taylor Swift’s “1989” album track “Wildest Dreams” officially went gold.
In the coming weeks and months, it will apparently receive the exposure it needs to go platinum — and perhaps multi-platinum.
“Wildest Dreams” is reportedly slated as Swift’s next official single.
The news came courtesy a video announcement during the iHeartMedia Music Summit.
“Via video, @taylorswift13 announced that her new single is gonna be… ‘Wildest Dreams,'” Tweeted USA Today reporter Carly Mallenbaum.
Neither Republic nor Taylor Swift has offered additional confirmation, but a formal label update on the new “1989” single–“Wildest Dreams” or not–is expected to arrive imminently.
Swift’s previous single “Bad Blood” recently ended a six-week stint atop the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart and a three-week run atop the hot adult contemporary listing. Previous “1989” singles “Style,” “Blank Space” and “Shake it Off” also reached #1 on both charts.
