MKTO’s enduring breakthrough “Classic” has achieved a new milestone on the Billboard Hot 100.
After eighteen weeks on the Hot 100–and considerably more weeks of availability–the tune finally breaks into the Top 20 on this week’s chart. The achievement comes as “Classic” ascends five places to #18 on the industry’s most important single track chart.
It was not the only song to reach a new peak outside of the top ten.
An international hit dating back to last year, Disclosure’s “Latch (featuring Sam Smith)” continues to gain notoriety in the US. It climbs to a new summit of #14 on this week’s Hot 100.
Nicki Minaj’s “Pills N Potions” might not yet be a factor at pop radio, but it is definitely gaining steam on the Hot 100. The song climbs 19 places to #24 on the Hot 100.
As reported earlier, Charli XCX’s solo breakthrough “Boom Clap” jumps thirty three places to #29 on the Hot 100. Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando” also jumps into the Top 40 (at #40).
Tinashe’s “2 On (featuring Schoolboy Q)” jumps eight places to #44, while Ty Dolla $ign’s “Or Nah (featuring Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard)” moves up to #48. Shakira’s “Dare (La La La)” lifts 30 places to #53.
Pitbull’s World Cup theme song “We Are One (Ole Ola) (featuring Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Lette)” re-enters the chart at a new peak of #59, while Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” rebounds from last week’s dip to settle at a new high of #63.
Usher’s “Good Kisser” vaults to #66, while Ingrid Michaelson’s “Girls Chase Boys” reaches a new peak of #74. Becky G’s “Shower” climbs to #75, besting Tiesto’s “Wasted (featuring Matthew Koma),” which reaches its own new high of #76.
Schoolboy Q’s “Studio (featuring BJ the Chicago Kid)” elevates to #81.
Chart debuts include Psy’s “Hangover (featuring Snoop Dogg)” at #26, Ed Sheeran’s “Don’t” at #46 and Brantley Gilbert’s “Small Town Throwdown (featuring Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett)” at #95.
