Update: Republic is once again listing a 6/17 impact date for “Habits.”

Tove Lo’s developing alternative hit “Habits (Stay High)” will receive an earlier than anticipated start at Top 40 radio.
Republic, which had previously announced a June 17 impact date for “Habits,” is now planning to send the song for pop adds on June 10.
Other tunes impacting the format that day include Capital Cities’ “One Minute More,” Jesse McCartney’s “Superbad” and “Pills N Potions” from Republic’s own Nicki Minaj.
American Authors’ “Believer,” which had previously been scheduled to impact for Republic on June 10, will now debut at pop two weeks later. Timeflies’ “Monsters (featuring Katie Sky)” takes over the June 17 date that previously belonged to the Tove Lo song.
The news of the early start date comes as Tove Lo’s “Habits” continues to gain spins at alternative. According to Mediabase’s rolling alternative airplay chart, the song reached a new peak of #24 for the seven days ending May 23 (up from #29). Its weekly audience, however, slipped from 1.45 million to 1.31 million.
The song currently appears at a peak of #29 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and at #193 on the iTunes overall single sales chart. “Stay High (Habits)” a reversal remix by Hippie Sabotage, meanwhile, is #84 on iTunes.
According to Republic, Tove Lo will perform “Habits” on the June 18 edition of NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
