Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” Is Scoring Well With Pop Radio Listeners

Mediabase and Critical Mass Media’s latest pop radio callout report confirms a very positive listener reaction to Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber).”

Based on a survey of pop radio listeners, the report says that the song is receiving a positive reaction from 68.8% of listeners, a negative reaction from 15.9% of listeners and thus a “net positive” score of 52.9%.

It also boasts a “favorite” rating from 30.7%.

Thirty-five songs are featured in this week’s pop callout report, and “Despacito” is one of the best-scoring for all columns. It has the fourth-highest positive score, is tied for the lowest negative score, has the second-best positive score, and holds the #1 favorite rating.

“Despacito” is quickly climbing the pop radio chart and already #1 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.
