The Voice’s Craig Wayne Boyd Wins iTunes Bonus (Updated)

“The Voice” will once again issue an iTunes multiplier bonus.

This week’s recipient is Craig Wayne Boyd, whose “I Walk the Line” was #6 on the iTunes all-genre sales chart at the close of voting Tuesday. By holding in the Top 10, Boyd receives a multiplier on his iTunes vote (sales) total.

When 12PM ET struck, the rest of the top ten “The Voice” recordings were (approximately) positioned as follows:

25 – Taylor John Williams – Come Together
27 – Matt McAndrew – Fix You
38 – Chris Jamison – Uptown Funk
49 – DaNica Shirey – I Have Nothing
51 – Luke Wade – Try a Little Tenderness
59 – Damien – You and I
126 – Reagan James – Fancy
141 – Anita Antoinette – Let Her Go
174 – Ryan Sill – Starlight

==================

Last week, Craig Wayne Boyd’s quest to reach the top ten and secure an iTunes multiplier bonus stopped short at #11.

Success will not elude the Team Blake contestant this week. Shortly after Monday’s “The Voice” aired on the west coast, Boyd’s rendition of “I Walk the Line” hopped into the top ten on the iTunes all-genre single sales chart.

To score a multiplier for Craig Wayne Boyd, the recording will need to remain in the top ten when the 12PM ET voting deadline emerges. Insofar as “I Walk the Line” is already #8 and likely to rise as Tuesday progresses, that bonus is all but locked up.

As far as Monday’s “The Voice” recordings go, the next best seller is Taylor John Williams’ “Come Together.” The Team Gwen contestant’s song is currently #32 on the chart.

Team Adam’s Matt McAndrew follows at #39 with “Fix You,” while teammate Chris Jamison’s take on “Uptown Funk” is up to #49.

DaNica Shirey’s acclaimed take on “I Have Nothing” gives Team Pharrell its highest-charting number at #52. Fellow Team Pharrell member Luke Wade follows at #62 with “Try a Little Tenderness.”

Damien, the third remaining Team Adam member, is at #70 with “You and I.”

Team Blake’s Reagan James is distantly behind at #165 courtesy her “Fancy,” while Team Gwen’s Anita Antoinette’s “Let Her Go” is #172 on iTunes. Fellow Team Gwen member Ryan Sill brings up the rear at #217 with “Starlight.”
