Coldplay’s “Adventure Of A Lifetime” Erupts as Hot AC Radio’s Most-Added Song

The lead single from Coldplay’s “A Head Full Of Dreams” easily claims the top spot on this week’s hot adult contemporary radio add board.

The band’s “Adventure Of A Lifetime” received adds from a whopping 51 Mediabase-monitored stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact. The count nearly quadruples that achieved by the next-most-added songs.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect of a new Coldplay single, “Adventure” also received launch support from the iHeartMedia network of stations. It debuted at #28 on the official airplay chart.

Alessia Cara’s “Here” and Demi Lovato’s “Confident,” which each won support from 13 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC stations, tie for second-most-added. Gwen Stefani’s “Used To Love You” and Marianas Trench’s “One Love” follow in a tie for fourth-most-added. They each scored 12 weekly adds.

Other notable Hot AC options this week: Zella Day’s “Hypnotic” (11 adds, 6th-most-added), James Bay’s “Let It Go” (10 adds, 7th-most-added, tie), Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece By Piece” (10 adds, 7th-most-added, tie), Ellie Goulding’s “On My Mind” (9 adds, 9th-most-added, tie), and Rudimental’s “Lay It All On Me (featuring Ed Sheeran)” (9 adds, 9th-most-added, tie).
