“The Perfect Guy” Edges “The Visit” at Friday Box Office

The weekend’s two high-profile new releases battled for #1 at the Friday box office.

“The Perfect Guy” came out narrowly ahead.

The film earned $9.95 million at the Friday box office. That gave it a slight lead over fellow newcomer “The Visit,” which grossed $9.22 million in its first day of release.

“The Perfect Guy” is expected to remain in first place as the weekend progresses.

No other films challenged “Perfect Guy” and “Visit” on Friday. “War Room” took third with $2.10 million, while “A Walk In the Woods” and “Straight Outta Compton” followed with $1.46 million and $1.20 million, respectively.
